Kimberly Point Park now resides in what was Lots 7, 8, and 9 of blocks C and D at the lower Fox River. It is unclear whether the previous Lot 10 (located at the very top of the colored portion) still exists because the river channel was dredged and widened in the 1880s. It is uncertain because there is no date on this plat map, so it might be from 1873, or after the widening of the channel.
- Sep. 15, 1997 - City Attorney Gunz issues opinion that the property in question is public right of way based on the plat map of February 6, 1873. The 1928 Sherry deed is a nullity because it involves land already dedicated by the original plat. The Stuart gift does not alter the status of the property in any way. The property is not under Park and Recreation jurisdiction, but remains city right of way.
- Sep. 26, 1997 - Lake Shore residents are informed of results and that committee of jurisdiction is Public Works and Services.
